Essence of event photography

When I'm doing the must have photos at an event I always concentrate on things what is interesting or different. Or another word, the essence of that event.

For me these pictures represent better the particular function than the normal standing and smiling snapshots.

I converted all pictures to black and white because our brain can concentrate better for light, shadows, expressions and forms without colours.
